Sex is Good

Here is an excerpt from my latest blog...  check out the rest at www.wingfiea.com  Title:  Sex is Good

"I find tension in looking in the world around me as well as in my own life, I see so much that is disturbing and hurtful and sinful…how could any of that be something that allows us to know God?  I have a hard time getting past the bad to see the good that God initially intended for us.  Sure it feels good, but even in attaining that I’m sure we can uncover the roots of selfishness, self doubt, or even confusion and pain.  How can that reveal to us anything about God."

actually, I have learned more about God in the tough times than in the good times - guess tough times keeps your focus where it is important. And while I never thought He was around during my abuse filled childhood, I have found now places where He was.

I want to respond to your April 24th bit on Christian guys, Christian girls, and sex. It is fantastic...absolutely right on. It probably won't surprise you to know that comitted Christian guys struggle with this as well, perhaps a little differently, but it can be a struggle nonetheless. We want companionship, love, and the partner that God wants for us, and therefore WANT to control the hormones or impulses which can be so strong. I have met wonderful Christian women whom I'd love to be partnered with, but have to work to kill old ways of relating (physical first)..I trust God to help this work out.

What you said was exactly what is needed...good for you.

be God's, Amy

thanks...the music is by Michael W. Smith..."Seed to Sow". I heard it sung in church last week, and the first part (Swahili) brought me to tears (God does that sometimes with me) the message I clearly got was reassurance that God has given ME a "seed to sow" which is uniquely linked to how God has made me....I went home and found out that I had it in my CDs; it's on his "Go West Young Man" album.

blessings, sister
